STUTTGART AIRPORT BUSTERMINAL - your hub for best transport connections
WELCOME TO THE SAB
The Stuttgart Airport Bus Terminal - SAB - is a modern travel hub with excellent connections to all transport networks. The comfortable equipment, comprehensive services and the highest level of security make your stay as a passenger an all-round pleasant experience.
Future-oriented mobility concept
With its infrastructure and location directly on the motorway and at Stuttgart Airport, the SAB is unique. It connects the international and national long-distance bus network with air traffic, regional traffic in the metropolitan region as well as local and long-distance public transport. The inner city connection via the airport is currently being further expanded, and an ICE long-distance train station is being built at the same time.
Arrive, depart, change trains
The SAB is designed to help you as a passenger to find your way around quickly. This begins with the current information on this homepage. At the terminal itself, electronic displays, multilingual announcements and a barrier-free tactile guidance system ensure easy orientation. Parking and Kiss+Ride spaces are available within walking distance.
Feel good and relaxed
The terminal is completely covered, the waiting room is heated. There is W-LAN and a central information and ticket counter of the long-distance bus providers. Use the snack and shopping facilities for travel needs on site or the shops and restaurants in the airport building directly opposite. There are also showers and nappy-changing rooms in the free sanitary facilities.
Sustainable choice of location
In long-distance and regional bus transport, up to 400 arrivals and departures take place at the SAB on peak days, and the trend is rising. The location on the Filder level directly at the airport offers sufficient space and capacity reserves for this. Road traffic in the city centre is relieved, which benefits the air quality in Stuttgart's boiler area in particular.
TEST WINNER - GERMANY'S BEST LONG DISTANCE BUS STATION
The Stuttgart Airport Bus Terminal (SAB) was the only German long-distance bus station to be rated "very good" and was the test winner against ten other long-distance bus stations in a nationwide comparison. A total of 11 bus stations throughout Germany were tested according to various criteria and evaluated with regard to quality, infrastructure and service for passengers. The SAB was the only long-distance bus station to improve its rating. Since its launch in 2016, the long-distance bus station has been an important element of the transport hub at Stuttgart Airport and is very well accepted by passengers.
According to the ADAC test, the advantages of the SAB include the complete roofing, the multilingual electronic scoreboards and monitors, and its own website. In addition, there is a central ticket and information desk for several suppliers as well as shopping facilities, a continuous guidance system for the visually impaired and sufficient parking space for passengers and those collecting them. The terminals and the S-Bahn station are only a few steps away. The SAB has a total of 18 bus platforms, 14 of which are for long-distance bus services and 4 for local transport.
QUICK CHARGING STATION FEE CHANGE
From 1 July 2020, Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH (FSG) will charge a tariff for green electricity at the seven fast-charging points, including the fast-charging stations at the SAB. Until now, the State Airport has provided all public charging facilities free of charge to users of electric and hybrid vehicles. At the 28 normal charging stations, the offer will remain free of charge for the time being.
The quick charge tariff is 55 cents per kilowatt hour. Even during a short stop, electric vehicles can be recharged at the stations on the P5 and Kiss & Ride parking lots at the SAB bus terminal with an output of up to 150 kilowatts. Payment can be made directly at the e-gas station, either ad hoc and without registration by smartphone and credit card or by a charging card from a partner of the Hubject platform.
